San Antonio Children's Museum Final Weekend Downtown

This post may contain affiliate links.

In the fall of 1995, nearly 20 years ago, The San Antonio Children's Museum opened downtown. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of kids, caregivers and educators have made memories here. It's a place that you may have explored as a child, and maybe a place you've taken your kids to as well.

Fast forward to today. It's hard to believe that the end is so near. In just 3 short days, The San Antonio Children's Museum will be closing their downtown home at 305 East Houston Street. And race towards the finish line making every second count.

Explore our 3 levels for the last time; from H-E-B market downstairs to their Tot Spot on the main level up to the control tower and airplane in the mezzanine, there's lots to see and explore.

Own a piece of the Museum! Peruse our online auction and bid on a life-sized David Robinson, a pair of dinosaurs, or one of the 70 other plus items for sale. All proceeds will benefit educational programming at The DoSeum, San Antonio's new museum for kids.

Purchase a Children's Museum T-shirt, souvenir or gift item in store- nearly everything is priced to sell at 50% off, so it's the perfect time to stock up on educational gifts and nostalgia items.
Nab your limited edition The DoSeum Fiesta medal, complete with an interactive moving kite!
Available through Sunday downtown, and at the Fiesta store on Broadway.

Take part in programming all weekend long including:

-Investigation Station: Saturday 10:30am-Noon | Sunday 12:30pm-1:30pm
-Art Studio: Saturday 2pm-4pm
-Art Pavilion: Sunday 3pm-4pm
Thanks for the memories San Antonio. And while goodbyes are never easy, we hope you'll join us this June when they begin a new journey at 2800 Broadway.
