Tax Free Shopping Weekend Dates & Online Shopping
Mark your calendars for the 2015 Tax FREE Shopping holiday for the back to school season!
Certain back-to-school purchases, such as clothing, school supplies, computers, and other items as defined by the statute, are exempt from sales tax for this time period only.
Here's a list of the states I've found participating so far and links to the items included in the Tax Free Holiday:
Alabama- 12:01 A.M. August 7th - Midnight August 9th
Arkansas- 12:01 A.M. August 1st - 11:59 P.M.
Connecticut- August 16-22
Florida- August 7 through August 16, 2015
Georgia- July 31-August 1, 2015
Iowa- Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, 2015
Louisiana- Friday, August 7, & Saturday, August 8
Maryland- Sunday, August 9 - Saturday, August 15.
Mississippi-12:01 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, and ends 12:00 midnight Saturday, August 1, 2015.
Missouri- begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 9.
New Mexico- begins at 12:01 a.m. on August 7, 2015 and concludes on August 9, 2015 at midnight.
Ohio- starts on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 11:59 p.m.
Oklahoma- begins at 12:01 am on Friday, August 7, 2015 and ends at twelve midnight on Sunday, August 9, 2015.
South Carolina- August 7-9.
Tennessee- begins at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, August 7 and ends Sunday, August 9 at 11:59 p.m.
Texas- Aug. 7 - 9, 2015
Virginia- August 7-9, 2015
