Helpful Staples & Kitchen Items When Eating Clean

I've had several friends asking about where to begin when changing your lifestyle to making better choices when eating the right foods.  It can be expensive getting started because I didn't have the right staples in my home, but once you stock up - it's not as bad.  This way of life isn't for everyone - but it's really helped my husband and I, drop the weight & inches and it's foods that I can adjust to for a lifetime - not just a quick a yoyo diet!  When people ask what I'm doing - I started with Whole 30 for 30 days and then transitioned into just eating alot of Sugar Detox Meals, Paleo Meals and just changing up recipes that I liked - but removing the wrong carbs and replacing with more fat burning carb alternatives.  I don't eat bad sugars, dairy, rice or noodles nor do I eat condiments or dressing from the store - I make my own.  You'd be surprised at how much sugar is in a bottle of ketchup, mayo, soy sauce and more!

So here's a good list of everyday staples that I've found I use!  So of these I picked up at my local grocer and some I had to order off Amazon - if you have a Whole Foods near - most can be picked up there, however the Whole Foods nearest me - isn't so near and not worth the drive.

Ghee - butter

Coconut Aminos - replaces Soy Sauce

Coconut Flour / Meal

Coconut Oil

Almond Butter

Olive Oil - Not Extra Virgin which is still fine to saute with, but flavor is to strong when making things like mayo
