One of the things I've always resorted to during a diet is BEANS. Protein, Fiber - these are better, right? Instead of using ground beef on my tacos - I'll switch to beans. I am HEALTHIFIED!
Wrong! Once again, depending on who you ask or what you choose to do - Beans is going to be a topic that hovers both ways.
This is why -
Legumes contain Lectins. Lecitns are a specific protein that bind to carbohydrates. Can be toxic to our bodies and can harm the lining of our intestines & wreak our bloodstream causing obesity and diabetes.
With the way I've chosen to eat - I have eliminated beans for now. Does that mean, I'm NEVER going to eat a bean again? NO - but at this time I haven't had the craving to add back in. I'm sure over my lifetime - I will eat a Bean, however, it will be like once a month or could be bi-weekly...but not weekly. I'll also soak overnight and cook to help remove the processing offenders.
