Eating Better - Losing Fat - Things You Never Knew & Challenge

If Weight Loss is on your Resolutions list - you may want to follow along on my journey!  This was not on my list this year, as I didn't want to start the year off with the normal goal of the average American - so I began my weight loss and overall eating better journey back on a random day in October 2015.  Like many, I've had my fair share of YoYo Diets since college.  Typically it's transpired by a "going on a trip, gotta loose some weight" and shortly after trip weight is back and typically more!  I've came to realize that the diets & foods that consume me - mostly, weren't really good for my body - so all the exercise, calories counted and so forth - really didn't matter.  Of course, there are so  many myths about food and everyone is gonna have a different opinion - but I wanted to share with you what I've discovered that has worked for my family - kept the weight off and doesn't really deprive you of foods and cravings.  Biggest part - it's a life change, something that you can do forever, not just until you hit your goal forcing you back to your roller coaster ride of ups and downs.

Last week my husband said, "okay I want to do what you've been doing! I'm ready." Instead of explaining to him - what I was doing, I just cooked and gave him the foods to eat, he would add in foods like Mustard, BBQ sauce or add brown rice etc. I asked him, "why are you adding that?" and his response was, "I figured it had little calories and no fat, it's fine." I then went into the pantry and started grabbing things out and asked him, "which one would you figure is better for you?" and then explained labels and how majority of the foods have hidden sugars that toxin your body - seeps through the walls of your small intestine, makes you hungrier, total-body inflammation causing risk of obesity and diabetes.  Needless to say, he was shocked!  I mean afterall, we always added those things to our diets because it kept us under our calorie and fat intake.

In one week my husband has lost 11 lbs and noticed that his belly is shrinking with little exercise.  In 3 months I've only lost about 10 lbs but have gone down two sizes in clothing.

STOP counting calories!  STOP weighing yourself! START reading labels!

Don't want to keep this to long - so stay tuned tomorrow!
